ESI PHONE SYSTEM GREETING RECORDING INSTRUCTIONS
MAIN COMPANY GREETING:
PRESS THE FOLLOWING KEYS: PROGRAM, HOLD, 456#, 6,1,1#, THE SYSTEM WIILL THEN PLAY THE RECORDED DAY GREETING, TO RECORD PRESS 1 AND BEGIN RECORDING AT THE TONE. PRESS 1 AGAIN WHEN FINISHED. THE SYSTEM WILL PLAY THE NEW RECORDING AND PROMPT YOU TO PRESS ONE TO RECORD IT AGAIN OR PRESS # TO CONFIRM. (SAVE) YOU WILL THEN BE PROMPED TO RECORD THE NIGHT GREETING. THE PROCESS FOR THE NIGHT GREETING IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE DAY.

PRESS THE FOLLOWING KEYS: PROGRAM, HOLD, 456#, 6,1, 540#, THE SYSTEM WIILL THEN PLAY THE RECORDED HOLIDAY GREETING, TO RECORD PRESS 1 AND BEGIN RECORDING AT THE TONE. PRESS 1 AGAIN WHEN FINISHED. THE SYSTEM WILL PLAY THE NEW RECORDING AND PROMPT YOU TO PRESS ONE TO RECORD IT AGAIN OR PRESS # TO CONFIRM. (SAVE)
TO RECORD THE GUEST OR INFORMATION MAILBOXES (300-399)
PRESS PROGRAM,*,AND THE MAILBOX NUMBER (300-399) THEN #,
YOU WILL THEN BE PROMPTED FOR A PASSWORD.(THE PASSWORD IS THE SAME AS THE MAILBOX NUMBER) ENTER THE PASSWORD AND THEN #.
THEN PRESS 1, THEN 1#, AND PRESS ONE AGAIN TO RECORD. PRESS 1 WHEN FINISHED RECORDING.
TO PROGRAM A KEY ON YOUR PHONE:
PRESS AND HOLD THE KEY YOU WISH TO PROGRAM. WHEN ALL THE KEYS LIGHT UP LET GO OF THE KEY.
TO PROGRAM THE KEY AS AN EXTENSTION KEY JUST ENTER THE EXTENSION NUMBER (EX.112)
OR
TO PROGRAM THE KEY AS A PHONE LINE ENTER THE LINE NUMBER. (EX. LINE 4)
OR
TO PROGRAM THE KEY AS A FEATURE KEY PRESS THE “ESI-DEX” KEY (LOCATED BY THE LCD DISPLAY)
THEN USE THE ARROW UP/DOWN KEYS (UNDER THE LCD DISPLAY) TO FIND THE FEATURE YOU WOULD LIKE TO PROGRAM. ONCE YOU FIND THE FEATURE PRESS “STORE” UNDER THE LCD DISPLAY.
Recording the Directory
Program, Hold, 456#. Dial 6 then 2. 1.
Each programming step is defined as follows:
Enter Extension number then pound— Enter the extension number for the directory name.
2. Record name — Press 1 to begin recording and press 1 again when finished.
3. Name key — (Necessary if the directory type is alpha (ask your ESI Reseller if you’re not sure).]
Enter the numeric equivalent to the letters appearing on a phone keypad (for Q or Z, use 1). Up to
three numbers may be entered. Your ESI Reseller can give you more information.
A by-alpha directory branch allows the caller to be connected to a system user by selecting his/her name
from a directory. The alpha directory has two prompts: the first instructs the caller to enter the first three
letters of the individual’s first or last name; the second instructs the caller to press # when he/she hears the
desired individual’s name. The system then plays the matched names to the caller, in alphabetical order.
With the name key set to three digits, when a caller selects a directory branch and dials only one or two
digits to select a name, the system will wait three seconds for the entry of another digit. If the system
receives no other digit within that time, the auto attendant will begin to play, in alphabetical order, the
subset of directory names bounded by the digits dialed.
